Events in Blue are organized by the Downtown Somerville Alliance (DSA). Events in orange occur in Downtown Somerville but are not organized by the DSA. Organizations that would like to have an event added to the Downtown Somerville community calendar may submit a request to the Downtown Somerville Alliance for consideration. To qualify, the event must take place within the boundaries of the Downtown Somerville Special Improvement District and be open to the general public. For the purposes of the community calendar, an event is defined as a planned public activity designed to engage the community—such as a performance, festival, fundraiser, market, cultural celebration, or educational program. Routine business promotions, private gatherings, sales, or other standard business practices (including happy hours, product launches, or seasonal discounts) do not qualify as events and will not be included on the calendar. This calendar will be updated on the 15th and last day of the month. All requests must be submitted by the 10th and 20th of the month to be included. Inclusion in the calendar is at the discretion of the DSA.
