DOWNTOWN SOMERVILLE

Fall in Downtown Somerville is filled with live music, community celebrations, shopping, family-friendly activities, and seasonal events that bring the downtown to life. As summer winds down, there’s still plenty happening on Main Street and Division Street, with exciting events planned throughout September, October, November, and December.

The summer season comes to a close with the final Summer Stage Concert Series performances on September 4 and 5, bringing live music to Division Street from 6:00 PM–9:00 PM. At the same time, Cruise Nights wraps up its season on September 4, giving car enthusiasts one last chance to enjoy Downtown Somerville’s beloved classic car tradition.

Then, on September 20, Downtown Somerville takes center stage with Music Fest, a full-day celebration of live music, local talent, food, shopping, and community. From 12:00 PM–6:00 PM, Main Street and Division Street will feature multiple stages and a variety of performances, along with family activities, artisan vendors, great food, and plenty of reasons to spend the day downtown. Headliners include High in the Mid 80’s, Not Leaving Sober, Nine Deez Nite, and Epic Soul, with entertainment taking place throughout the festival.

October brings a spooky twist to Downtown Somerville with the Spooky Night Market on October 8 from 5:00 PM–9:00 PM. This unique evening market features a curated collection of local artists, makers, and vendors offering eerie artwork, gothic décor, witchy goods, vintage finds, horror-inspired creations, and other one-of-a-kind treasures. Later in the month, families can join us for the Halloween Spooktacular on October 29 from 4:00 PM–6:00 PM, featuring free pumpkin painting, trick-or-treating, and entertainment for the whole family.

As the holiday shopping season begins, Small Business Saturday returns on November 28 from 11:00 AM–5:00 PMwith a full day dedicated to supporting Downtown Somerville’s locally owned businesses. Visitors can shop, discover special offers, enjoy giveaways and live entertainment, and experience the best of our downtown community.

The season culminates with Downtown Somerville’s Holiday Jubilee on December 4 from 5:00 PM–9:00 PM. This beloved annual celebration transforms downtown into a festive holiday destination with live entertainment, in-store surprises, jolly trolley rides, the annual tree lighting, and a special visit from Santa. Free Santa photos will also be available at United Reformed Church following the tree lighting.

Whether you’re catching the last concert of the season, rocking out at Music Fest, shopping for something spooky, celebrating Halloween with the family, supporting local businesses on Small Business Saturday, or kicking off the holiday season at Holiday Jubilee, there’s always something happening in Downtown Somerville.
