For longer visits, we recommend using the 4 primary municipal parking lots (Lots 1,2, 4, and 6). All are enforced Monday-Saturday from 9 am to 7 pm.  Parking is FREE on Sundays.

Parking Deck Opening on West Main Street

The parking deck located behind the Edge II building and opposite the ShopRite supermarket on South Davenport Street will officially open for public use on Monday October 12th, 2026.

This additional parking has been made available through a public-private partnership between the developer and the Borough of Somerville to create additional paid parking to the boroughs downtown. This deck brings an additional 229 parking spaces to the West Main Street area. Electric Vehicle charging spaces are available at the entrance level and handicapped spaces at the entrance and second levels.  Please be considerate of others and move a charged vehicle to an alternative space to allow others to use the chargers.

Access to the deck is from South Davenport Street from both West Main Street and Veterans Memorial drive, via the entrance driveway used for the Chase Bank.  Both entrance and exit are through this driveway.  Directional signs will be installed on the surrounding streets soon.

Parking rates are: $4.00 for up to three hours, $8.00 for up to five hours, $12.00 for up to 24 hours

Please note that residents will use a separate entrance located on South Doughty Street. Casual or short-term parking is not accessible from this entrance.
