Pedestrian Safety Event

In recognition of National Pedestrian Safety Month and just in time for Halloween, we are partnering with RideWise to host a casual, informational Walk & Talk event. The goal is to raise awareness about pedestrian safety while engaging directly with community members.

  • Tuesday, October 21
  • 12 to 1 PM
  • Meet outside Ambee Coffee (37 W. Main St, Somerville, NJ)
  • Chat with RideWise and Somerville officials about safe walking practices
  • Free giveaways, including candy, bike reflectors, brochures, and more
  • Learn how you and your family can stay safe while walking, especially on Halloween

Participants will have the chance to win a special Halloween Safety Gift Basket, featuring:

  • A $20 Sweet Parlor Ice Cream gift card
  • Bike reflector
  • Candy
  • Pedestrian safety materials, including the 31 Days of Pedestrian Safety Booklet
  • Council Member Theresa Bonner, Borough of Somerville
  • Sierra Saint-Vil, RideWise Marketing & Communications Specialist

This event is open to all Somerville residents. Come out, learn how to keep your Halloween safe, and help make our community a safer place for everyone walking.
