The Downtown Somerville Alliance (DSA) announced today that it has begun collecting all 22 public benches along Main Street for refurbishment, marking an early milestone in its 2026 Infrastructure and Beautification Program. The Downtown Somerville Alliance (DSA) is pleased to announce the installation of four new Bigbelly smart waste units along Division Street, further enhancing cleanliness and sustainability in Downtown Somerville. The new installation includes three trash units and one recycling unit, all equipped with smart technology and built-in compacting systems designed to handle high-traffic use efficiently.
